Jen would actually review the book, I've just reviewed the news. Meanwhile if you're interested in some Alterna-history fiction (is that a real term?) i'd recommend Kim Newman's Anno Dracula series. It fuses a whole bunch of books set around the same time and weaves them into the Jack the Ripper story. I might review it properly one day.
